In June 2003, I was the first employee of this international consumer electronics start-up, subsidiary of Sansun Holdings. Over the years, my role grew to managing a team of eight and being responsible for the creation and execution of the company's sales and marketing strategy. I traveled throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia workign with different offices as well as distrubtion (retail, specialty, and wholesale), technolgoy, and manufacturing partners. In addition, I handled the day-to-day operation of the U.S. office.
Finance / Operations / Sourcing
• Created annual financial budgets for all offices while maintaining company books for U.S. office.
• Worked with third party accounting firm on payroll, taxes, year-end closing and other compliances.
• Served as liaison to third party legal counsel on trademark and patent registrations.
• Recruited, hired and trained individuals in the U.S. and international offices.
• Negotiated and coordinated all logistics with different U.S., Europe and Asia shipping partners.
• Worked with Asian manufacturing partners on development, production, certifications and sourcing products.
Marketing / Sales / Business Development
• Planned, executed and monitored all marketing communications initiatives and materials.
• Led internal team of eight employees, as well as managed external marketing agencies.
• Outlined sales and merchandising strategy, defined product pricing matrix, and worked alongside Sales Vice Presidents to supervise and maintain activity progress of 23 sales reps within different channels.
• Negotiated and served as point-of-contact on all licensing and vendor agreements with distribution, technology and product partners.
• Developed merchandising support concepts and oversaw fulfillment of point-of-sale (POS) and point-of-purchase (POP) displays to assist sales at retail level.
• Implemented monthly newsletters and extranet site to regularly update partners, staff, sales reps and customers.
• Managed event schedules and budgets, and presented at various domestic and international tradeshows.

I originally worked on the Bantam Interactive public relations campaign when I was at LEWIS and was offered a full-time position with GPX (now Digital Products International), a $100M+ consumer electronics company, and Bantam Interactive, the technology startup.

• Developed external corporate and sales material, including press releases, brochures, sales presentations, photo shoots, packaging, product spec sheets and web site content.

In 1999, I began my career in London with LEWIS, a top-performing global IT public relations agency. I was the first American hired within LEWIS and mentored directly under CEO Chris Lewis for three months before moving to the San Diego office to help grow its U.S. business. I was quickly promoted within organization and was named the youngest partner at the time of the Company in 2001.
• Managed three-member team across six accounts, and was responsible for strategic planning and tactical execution of the campaigns to the development of corporate messaging and positioning.
• Drafted and edited press releases, response letters, case studies and bylined articles for both hardware and software products.
• Maintained key industry relationships with journalists and analysts.
